The joint conference of the Federation of Infection Societies (FIS)/Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) 2016 starts on the 6th November in Edinburgh
For three days next week – from the 6th -8th November, numerous experts in infectious diseases from clinical and scientific backgrounds will descend on Edinburgh for the Federation of Infection Societies (FIS)/Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) 2016 conference.
This year’s conference will see a particularly strong representation from the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) team, who will present their research in a notably diverse range of fields.
Our team representation includes poster, oral presentations and talks from Drs Enrique Castro Sanchez, Myriam Gharbi, Raheelah Ahmad, Susan Hopkins as well as Jon Otter and PhD student Rachael Troughton.
The conference will include lectures and showcase four streams across a wide variety of topics including healthcare infection control, new diagnostics, emerging infectious diseases and new therapeutics.
