Centre for Mathematics of Precision Healthcare Officially Launches

Talks from both sides of the Atlantic set the scene for the centre.

The EPSRC Centre for Mathematics of Precision Healthcare was formally launched at Imperial College Last night. The event, attended by over 100 people was introduced by Professor James Stirling, Provost of Imperial College. Professor Paul Matthews gave an overview of Mathematical Data Science for Precision Medicine and Professor Beth Noveck who joined us from Yale, gave a US perspective on Precision Healthcare and Public Health Policy. The Centre Director, Professor Mauricio Barahona explained the vision for the centre and Professor Nick Jennings, Vice-Provost for  Research at the College  closed the event by talking about  the importance of collaboration.

The centre endeavours to be open to collaboration and people are encouraged to join the centre’s mailing list to keep updated about our talks and symposia, future pump-priming calls and the progress of our research.
