Esmita Charani has been appointed as an Expert Adviser for three years for the NICE Centre for Guidelines (CfG)
Congratulations to Ms Esmita Charani, Lead Research Pharmacist at the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in HCAIs and AMR, who has been appointed as an Expert Adviser for the NICE Centre for Guidelines (CfG).
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care.
The appointment as Expert Adviser is a three year term and over this period Esmita may be invited to contribute to the following type of clinical guideline activities:
- Giving advice – for example on the impact of new evidence in relation to updating the guidance.
- Participating in committees as a topic specialist member.
- Performing peer reviews – for example reviewing a component of the guideline such as an evidence review or economic model.
