Imperial community invited to share their views on learning and teaching
A Town Hall meeting will be held on 8 December as part of the College's development of its new Learning and Teaching Strategy.
The meeting, to be held in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building (G16) from 12:00 to 13:00, is the latest in a number of events held to engage the Imperial community in the development of the new Learning and Teaching Strategy.
It follows an earlier meeting last month and number of pop-up stands across Imperial’s campuses where staff and students offered their views on learning and teaching priorities and highlighted successes and areas for improvement.
Professor Simone Buitendijk, Imperial’s Vice Provost (Education) said: "The development of the new Learning and Teaching Strategy will require participation across College from all of those engaged with supporting and delivering learning and teaching. It will include a far reaching discussion of how we create an academic community with students as partners, what and how much our students need to learn, how we prepare our students well for professional life after university and how we assess their learning outcomes”
Feedback from the consultation process will be used to inform the development of the new strategy to be published in the New Year.
Staff and students unable to attend the event can watch the live stream and are encouraged to complete the online consultation to share their thoughts.
