Trainee teachers are in schools across London delivering a practical activity linked to their research as part of our Christmas roadshow

As part of their training to be the next teachers to inspire pupils to see the wonder and awe of STEM subjects, our student teachers have hit the road to visit over 10 different schools in the Greater London region with their INSPIRE activities.

Each trainee has developed a bespoke and novel INSPIRE activity to showcase their research expertise, or particular area of interest, in an engaging and exciting hands-on fashion to pupils ranging from year 7 to 13.
Over the course of the next week, the trainees are expected to deliver their activities to over 1000 pupils.

The INSPIRE 11-18 Secondary Science and Maths PGCE programme is run at Imperial College London in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University. The programme recruits high calibre trainees and teaches them not only how to be STEM teachers, but also how to be superb and influential science communicators. If you would like to hear more about the programme, please email inspire@imperial.ac.uk.
