Tate group publications - January 2017

by Jennie Hutton

Congratulations to several of our group members who have had papers published recently.

Louis, a recently completed ICB MRes/PhD student, published a paper revealing the conformational transition of FGFR kinase activation using FRET, which brings together four years of collaborative research with many groups including Matilda Katan at UCL and Jason Chin at the LMB in Cambridge.

Tom, Ursula, Markus and Naoko’s paper  characterising an on-target, small molecule probe for Hedgehog acyltransferase was published in ACS Chemical Biology, in collaboration with Tony Magee’s lab at Imperial and The Institute of Cancer Research.

Wenye, Mostafa and Tom published a review article on targeting the Ras GTPase superfamily through structure-based design in Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry.

Jenny, another recently completed ICB MRes/PhD student, published her paper on the first small molecule activity-based probes for the USP class of ubiquitin proteases in ACS Chemical Biology, with MISSION Therapeutics.

Congratulations to everyone involved!
