Thursday 16th March saw Imperial's National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Research Units (NIHR HPRUs) come together
Imperial College hosts HPRUs in Healthcare Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance, Modelling Methodology, Respiratory Infections and Impact of Environmental Hazards.
The four HPRUs came together to share their work with colleagues in both research and healthcare. The event was extremely successful, with over 100 attendees coming together to learn about the innovative and collaborative research taking place at Imperial College London.
The Joint HPRU Meeting was opened by Professor Paul Cosford, Health Protection and Medical Director at Public Health England, who introduced talks from researchers and PhD students from the four HPRUs. Following talks from each speaker, guests were invited to a brief question and answer session. During lunchtime a poster presentation viewing was held which gave guests the opportunity to speak to the researchers about the work they are involved in.
The event concluded with thanks from Professor Bernie Hannigan, Director, Research, Translation and Innovation at Public Health England.
