Paolo Angeles & Ravi Vaidyanathan win EPSRC impact acceleration award to work on "Clinical Impact of Quantification of Symptoms of Parkinsons Disease"
CDT Neurotechnology-aligned student Paolo Angeles and CDT supervisor Ravi Vaidyanathan have been awarded an EPSRC Impact Acceleration grant to continue with and expand upon Paolo's PhD research on Parkinson's Disease.
The award, entitled “Clinical Impact of Quantification of Symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease”, will enable the team to carry out clinical testing for Paolo's Parkinson's assessment system, in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Neurology at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford. The team plan to test approximately 100 patients over the summer, providing pilot data, with a view to applying for further funding to expand the work later in the year.
Congratulations to the team for their award!
