Two new MRes students (Yu and Anastasia), an MSci project student (Youssef), and a BSc project student (Jia) join the group.
Yu and Anastasia join the group as MRes students:
Yu Liu. Yu joins the group after completing a BSc in Biology at Imperial College London. She is currently working on developing biological assays for evaluating the efficacy of alpha-helix mimetic small molecules as antagonists of the PPI between the Androgen Receptor (AR) and its co-activator proteins as her research project towards an MRes in Drug Design and Discovery.
Anastasia Eftychidou. Anastasia joins the group after completing a BSc in Chemistry at the University of Aberdeen. She is currently working on designing a drug-carrier system composed of modified afatinib conjugated onto the surface of gold nanoparticles for the targeted treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) as her research project towards an MRes in Drug Design and Discovery.
Youssef joins the group as an MSci UG research project student:
Youseff Shaalan. Youseff joins the group as a 4th year student on the Imperial MSci Chemistry degree programme. He is currently working on the synthesis of hydroxy-evoninic acid, a component of bioactive Celastraceae sesquiterpenoids.
...and JiaYuan joins the group as a BSc UG research project student:
JiaYuan Chng. JiaYuan joins the group as a 3rd year student on the Imperial Bsc Chemistry degree programme. He is currently working on the kinetic resolution of 1,4-hydroquinones by asymmetric sulfonylation catalysed by atropisomeric pyridine-N-oxide derivatives.
