Nils and Nico carried out their MSci projects in the group of Prof. Alan Spivey working on the catalytic kinetic resolution of indolines by N-sulfonylation, and proposed a model to explain the observed stereodiscrimination. Both contributed to a breakthrough paper published in Angew. Chemie:
