Professor Maksimovic has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by École des Ponts ParisTech, the leading French University in Civil Engineering.

Professor Maksimovic was awarded the honorary doctorate for his pioneering research in remote sensing fine scale precipitation and hydrological modelling of fine scale urban pluvial flooding and the Blue Green Dream project which seeks to optimise urban water management in synergy with green engineering towns.

The award ceremony will take place on 17th October 2017 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of new university campus at Marne-la-Valle.
