Professor Shiranee Sriskandan & Dr Elita Jauneikaite attended the Lancefield International Symposium on Streptocci and Streptoccal Diseases Conference
Professor Shiranee Sriskandan, Theme Lead at the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) in HCAI and AMR was joined by Dr Elita Jauneikaite, HPRU Post Doctoral researcher at the 20th Lancefield International Symposium on Streptocci and Streptoccal Diseases (LISSSD) Conference in Fiji, where she was a Keynote Speaker at the “Chhatwal” lecture speaking about "Streptococcal Just So stories: or, what we can learn from genomics”.
Dr Elita Jauneikaite also presented a poster entitled "Late onset Group B streptococcal infections in the neonatal unit - a genomic re-evaluation of causality” with co-authors from Imperial College Healthcare Trust and Public Health England. HPRU collaborators from Public Health England Dr Theresa Lamagni and Dr Juliana Coelho also presented at LISSSD.
