Goodbye to our friend and colleague
The Department of Physics is sad to report Les Toudup passed away on Friday 13th October 2017.
Les worked in the College for 45 years. For many years until his retirement in 2001 Les managed the High Energy Physics Electronics Workshop supporting large collaborative experimental research projects at CERN and around the world.
For the Electronics Workshop Les provided professional and very effective management in very challenging and innovative areas of electronics engineering.
Les unstintingly helped develop the careers of everyone working with and around him and the environment in which they worked.
Les is affectionately remembered by colleagues and particularly so by those who worked under his management and guidance.
Les’s family have sent the following information for those who may wish to attend the funeral or make a donation in in his memory:
Mr. Les Toudup, passed away Friday 13th October 2017, peacefully at Thames Hospice in Windsor, the family were all there.
Funeral will be on Wednesday 8th November 2017 at 1.30 pm
Easthampstead Park Crematorium
South Road
Bracknell
Wokingham
RG40 3DW
And afterwards at the
Downshire Golf Complex
Easthampstead Park
Bracknell
Wokingham
RG40 3DH
We have decided on flowers for close family only, and we thought a donation to Frimley Park Hospital, Ward 7 would be appropriate as he spent 2 months in there and they were brilliant. (Apparently you can specify the ward). A cheque would be the most convenient way but it is up to you of course.
