Inaugural Design Engineering Futures | Work in Progress review event
At the inaugural Design Engineering Futures Work in Progress review, 3rd year students presented and discussed their initial stages of work to create accurate visions of future products and systems with a group of 40 experts related to futures themes including Future Music, Physical augmentation, Energy and circular economy, Future homes, morphological soft robots. Collectively these projects will result in validated digital and physical prototypes which in turn will form an annual Imperial College Design Engineering futures report.
An impressive line of expert guests included representatives from Bosch, Cisco, Frog, Hive-Centrica, IDC, Native, Roli, Siemens, VHM Design Futures, WRAP and many others. Feedback from the guests highlighted the value of building strong collaborations with stakeholders and gathering early stage feedback on design directions.
