Would you like to shape the future of the world? Have you got an ingenious idea which can help solve one of the defining challenges of our time?
Take part in The Cities for our Future Challenge, a global competition run by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in partnership with the UK National Commission of UNESCO. This is an incredible opportunity to make a positive contribution to the world, while building a rewarding career and an international professional reputation. You will also have the chance to receive a £50,000 prize and mentorship with industry experts to potentially transform your concept into a reality.
The Cities for our Future Challenge is the perfect competition for students and young professionals in surveying, urban design, architecture or engineering. Even if you are studying a different subject, this challenge may be a valuable opportunity for you if you are innovative and have a desire to change the world.
Choose a topic between Rapid Urbanisation, Climate Change and Resource Scarcity and a region of the world and submit your entry by 31 May 2018. Your idea will be shortlisted in June, based on impact, excitement, scale, relevance and feasibility. The global winner will be announced in November.
