Register now - Health Technology Assessment Toolkit consultation

by Madeleine Stewart

Registration is open to join the International Decision Support Initiative’s Health Technology Assessment Toolkit consultation process.

iDSI is looking for staff working in health policy across the world to help review draft content of the document, which aims to help ministries of health; health insurers and other health agencies to build Health Technology Assessment processes in their own countries.

Sign up by 23 May 2018 to register your interest as a reviewer on iDSI’s website.

After the sign up deadline selected reviewers will be sent content and have eight weeks to respond with feedback via an online survey. Reviewers will be listed as contributors in the acknowledgement section of the final version of the document, due to be made available later in 2018.

What is HTA?

Health Technology Assessment (HTA) measures the added value of a new health intervention compared to existing ones. The short and long-term consequences of using new interventions such as medicines, medical equipment, diagnostic and treatment methods, are analysed and information about the medical, social, economic and ethical issues related to the use of a health intervention are also taken into consideration. Where data is lacking, HTA can be used to generate information.
