The Audi Autonomous Driving Cup is a contest aimed at students of computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar disciplines. The participants develop fully autonomous driving functions and the necessary software architectures. The hardware platform is provided by Audi and is a 1:8 scaled-down model of the Audi Q2 vehicle developed specifically for the contest.
A team from Imperial College London has been nominated by the Audi Autonomous Driving Cup organizers to participate in its 2018 edition. The team is supervised by Dr Petar Kormushev, Director of the Robot Intelligence Lab at Imperial. The team comprises 5 students from the following departments: Dyson School of Design Engineering, Computing, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Materials.
Only 10 teams have been nominated by Audi to participate in the 2018 Cup. This year, for the first time, universities outside of Germany and among Europe’s elite have been nominated to compete.
Good luck to Imperial's team!
