Dyson School of Design Engineering alumni Robert Rouse has won the Hawley Award
Dyson School of Design Engineering alumni Robert Rouse has won the Hawley Award from the Worshipful Company of Engineers, for his innovation ‘Remora’.
Remora was Robert’s graduating project completed whilst studying for his MSc & MA in Innovation Design Engineering (run jointly by Imperial College London with the Royal College of Art). His design is a set of novel marine turbines and ship thrusters that filter and extract ocean plastic from the sea as they operate. The Hawley Award is awarded annually for the most outstanding Engineering Innovation that delivers demonstrable benefit to the environment.
