Dr Lu Tian
Dr Lu Tian (Thermofluids division) received the “Chinese Government Award for outstanding students abroad” for the year 2018.
Dr Tian is being recognised for her PhD studies in turbulent combustion. The award celebrates the achievements of non-Chinese-government funded Chinese PhD students from different disciplines all over the world, including America, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan and Canada.
500 winners are selected each year. There are two winners from Imperial College London this year and the award ceremony will be held in the Chinese Embassy on April 16th, 2019.
Dr Tian's PhD research was supported by the President's PhD Scholarship at Imperial College London, which funds full tuition fees and a stipend for high performing PhD candidates.
