Join us on an audio journey through the Festival 2019 – up Exhibition Road, through a mix science and art and into the heart of the Curiosity Zone.
Hayley Dunning walked the length of Exhibition Road meeting some of the demonstrators from across the local institutions. Along the rarely-pedestrianised road, she found fossils, dragonfly engineers, community projects, space mining and plenty of tunes.
Joanna Wilson went out and about on Exhibition Road and beyond to find out how the Festival is bringing together the worlds of art and science. She heard some live musical performances, discovered the inspiration behind the Festival and found out how art is being used to teach children about space.
Maxine Myers talked to researchers in the Curiosity Zone explaining how infectious diseases spread via cuddly toys and scientists who are encouraging kids to make their own molecules out of sweets to explain how they work. She also met young scientist Yousef, who was showcasing his work to measure lung function.
