by Sara West

Several members of the Department have been recognised for their long service at the College.

Members of professional and academic staff have been recognised for their long-standing service to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London.

At a celebratory dinner Professor Alice Gast, President of Imperial, said these staff have “played an important role in shaping the College we know today.” She added: “You have gone above and beyond in your roles, for example, representing the College externally and providing outstanding support for your colleagues and students. You have contributed to Imperial’s continuing excellence.”

Head of Chemical Engineering Professor Nilay Shah said: “The number of staff remaining with us for 20 years or more is a testament to the culture of our department, which places a strong emphasis on values as well as research and teaching excellence.

I would like to thank our staff for their on-going commitment and dedication, and look forward to many more years working with them.”
