The Great Exhibition Road Festival is a new three-day event bringing together science and the arts in the spirit of the Great Exhibition of 1851
During the festival second year PhD student Leran Zhang and first year PhD student Emma Couves from the group helped to run a Cancer Research UK stand called ‘100 roles to beat cancer.’
The activity invited festival goers to complete jigsaw puzzles where each piece was labelled with a different role that can contribute to scientific research. The stand was very busy throughout the event and catalysed discussion about convergent science and collaboration in cancer research.
