Jasmine wins poster prize!
Congratulations Jasmine!
Congratulations to third year PhD student Jasmine Bickel who won a prize for her poster at the London Chemical Biology Symposium 2019. Jasmine’s poster was based on her work on the design and development of novel peptide-based Inhibitors of CD59, a protein that is overexpressed in many tumours and has been linked to promoting their growth. Jamine was presented with her prize by the symposium’s keynote speaker Prof Carolyn Bertozzi from Stanford University (pictured above).
The one-day event was hosted at the Chemistry Department’s new home in the Molecular Sciences Research Hub and highlighted a range of chemical biology research from across Imperial, London and beyond.
