Congratulations to 3rd year PhD student Henry Benns who won first place poster prize at the Faculty of Natural Sciences Research Showcase
Henry’s PhD work is funded by the BBSRC and is co-supervised by Ed and Matt Child (Department of Life Sciences). Applied to the eukaryotic pathogen Toxoplasma gondii, Henry’s poster focused on the development of a multidisciplinary platform to enable the prioritisation of nucleophilic amino acids for target-based ligand discovery.
The competition was held as part of a two-day virtual symposium which aims to highlight the diverse and cutting-edge research taking place in the Faculty of Natural Sciences (FoNS). The event brought together scientists from all departments, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, environmental, and life sciences. Selected PhD students across the faculty participated in oral and poster presentations that were assessed by judges.
All entries to the poster competition can be viewed via the Imperial College website.
Well done Henry!
