SIM Paper Published

by Christopher Rowlands

A new paper from the Rowlands lab describes how the temporal resolution of Structured Illumination Microscopy can be assessed.

The Rowlands lab has recently published the first paper entirely originating from work at Imperial College, studying the temporal resolution of Structured Illumination Microscopy. The technique works by deliberately modulating the brightness of the image, and seeing how this modulation is reflected in each reconstructed spatial frequency. The results suggest that a frequently-proposed method for getting better temporal resolution doesn't work.
