The start of the new academic year is not too far away now so we think that this is the perfect time to get ahead with your career planning.

The Careers Service website includes detailed information on planning your career plus advice on all aspects of the application and interview process (CVs, cover letters, interviews, etc.) You can also prepare for video interviews with Shortlist.Me where you can access interview questions, record you answers, reflect on your performance and get useful tips to help improve.

If you would like specific guidance or are feeling a little lost with your career planning then consider booking a one to one appointment with one of our careers consultants. These are a perfect opportunity for you to have your CV or cover letter reviewed, to explore your options and to discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding your career. Appointments can be booked from 07.00 one working day in advance via JobsLive.

The Careers Service in the autumn term

We will continue to offer a hybrid approach during the autumn term with our regular series of seminars and workshops being run online as well as the majority of one to one appointments. We are also continuing to offer a limited number of in person 25-minute careers discussion appointments. Search for events and book appointments via JobsLive today! From Monday 4 October we will be extending our campus opening hours to Monday - Friday, between 10.00 and 17.00.
