Fellowship of Advance HE awarded
Congratulations to Dr Ravi Singh who has received an Advance HE fellowship
Ravi who manages the group of Prof. Ed Tate and the MRes in Drug Discovery and Development course has been awarded a fellowship from Advance HE (FHEA). This organization aims to recognize contributions to teaching and learning within higher education.
Imperial College awards these fellowships for professional recognition through the Imperial STAR framework. This is then accredited by Advance HE which upholds the United Kingdom’s Professional Standards Framework within university teaching.
“I would really like to thank Prof. Ed Tate and Dr Edward Bartlett for their support throughout all this,” said Ravi. “They acted as referees for my application, and Ed has always been incredibly supportive of my interests in university teaching. I was given the amazing opportunity to lead the curriculum review for the MRes Drug Discovery course and worked closely with other MRes course directors in the postgraduate teaching committee."
Over the past two and a half years, Ravi has designed and delivered a brand-new workshop, provided lab-based training, and co-supervised multiple students on the MRes Drug Discovery course for their lab-based projects. More recently, Ravi took on the role of academic organic chemistry tutor, and staff demonstrator in teaching labs, on the undergraduate chemistry courses. In 2018, Ravi was awarded an associate fellowship of Advance HE whilst undertaking his PhD.
Well done, Ravi!
