Student satisfaction in Life Sciences is now at 87% for Biological Sciences and 92% for Biochemistry, according to the recent National Student Survey.
There was a 6% increase in satisfaction from last year's National Student Survey (NSS) results and for the first time in many years the Department is now ranked in the First Quartile for Overall Satisfaction for both streams.
The College's overall student satisfaction rate is 82% and the College is now ranked first among fellow London Russell Group universities and second place among all Russell Group institutions. The College also secured a ranking of 27 out of a total of 160 higher education providers covered by the survey.
This year’s survey closed on 30 April 2022 and the response rate from final year undergraduates was 74%, level with the response rate in 2021.
Reflections on results & plans for the future
The results reflect the continued efforts of Life Sciences staff to improve the quality of the student experience, including the response to COVID and the organisation and delivery of the new curriculum, which all departmental staff have contributed to.
