Presentation prize awarded at FASEB 2022

Congratulations to Dr Jim Sipthorp on winning a talk prize at the FASEB protein lipidation conference held in Vermont

Jim, along with other group members, attended the conference between 30th July and the 5th August, and won the first place postgraduate talk prize.  

The conference detailed a wide range of topics on the theme of protein lipidation with talks covering: structural biology, novel methodology, the development of chemical tools, drug discovery, and the function of lipid modification in signalling and diseases.

Jim’s talk highlighted current research to develop a chemical genetic method to determine the substrates of individual palmitoyl acyltransferase.
