Showcase brings Imperial together to explore Natural Sciences research frontiers

Last week FoNS celebrated cutting-edge research happening across all five of its departments at the annual Showcase.

This year Natural Sciences hosted a bumper Showcase - back in person for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic!

Prize-winning PhD students

It was fantastic to see FoNS PhD students present their doctoral work to a packed lecture theatre alongside academic staff - well done to all and a huge congratulations to all those who won prizes on the day!

Oral presentations

  • First prize: £500 awarded to Emma Walmsley
  • Runner up: £400 awarded to Juan Rojas Munoz

  • First prize poster: £300 awarded to Hiroyuki Miyoshi
  • Runner up poster: £200 awarded to Sean McCarthy
