Now is your chance to be part of this journey by becoming an Ri Member and gain access to many of their Theatre and online talks for free or better than half price. That’s not all! Thanks to the generosity of the Ri, your first year of membership is completely free for students graduating from Imperial College London in 2023. How to claim your free Ri Membership

  1. Go to the Ri’s website
  2. Register for an account using your university email address
  3. Once registered and logged in, click on ‘Buy membership’
  4. Complete your details. Please add your personal email address on this page to the one given at registration.
  5. Select your membership level and click next
  6. Add promotional code: ICL100CC23 and click next
  7. Complete transaction
  8. You should receive a confirmation email for your membership.

Terms and conditions

  • This free membership offer is available to students at Imperial College London graduating in 2023
  • The offer is only applicable for your first year of membership only. Your membership will be up for renewal; at full price 12 months after the date of joining. You will be sent a renewal reminder one month in advance.
  • You can cancel your membership at any stage.
  • The promotional code is for the use of Imperial College London students only and must not be shared externally.
  • This offer cannot be combined with any other offer.
  • This offer is limited to 400 memberships.

How do I become an Ri Member?
You can sign up to membership on the Ri’s website at rigb.org/membership.

Why is it free?
The Royal Institution is offering the opportunity for free membership to science graduates to help nurture engagement with science.

Why do I need to enter a different email address to my username?
This is so that the Ri can keep in touch with you after you have graduated. Your Ri account won’t be affected, and your username will remain your university email address. However, all communications, including for example password reset emails will be sent to your personal email address. You can request that your username be changed to your personal email address by emailing membership@ri.ac.uk .
