The Department of Materials held its annual Alumni Dinner on Friday 12 May 2023.
The event was held at the Armourers' Hall and marked a welcome return for a wide range of alumni who graduated between 1955 to 2022.
This year's dinner was attended by 43 alumni of the Department of Materials. Alumni were welcomed by the Head of the Department, Professor Sandrine Heutz, before having the chance to reconnect over dinner.
Dr Ann Huang, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Materials, was invited to speak about her time studying and working in the department. Dr Huang studied Materials Science and Engineering in the Department of Materials before joining the University of Oxford to study for her PhD. After completing her PhD, she joined King's College London as a Lecturer before returning to the Department of Materials in 2022.
The evening closed with the opportunity for attendees to catch up with one another.
The Alumni Gala Dinner will return in 2024, with more details to be confirmed on our website nearer the time. The dinner is by invitation only and photos from this year's event can be viewed on Flickr.
