Tate group PhD students Sarah Hassan and Vincent Saverat attended the Roche continents 2023 Programme in Arles, France
Tate group members joined 60 talented students from European universities to engage with renowned scientists and artists, encouraging dialogue, innovation and curiosity at Roche Continents 2023. Held in Arles, France, the 2023 edition centered around climate change, sustainability and human capital. The programme arises from Roche’s long tradition of culturing and encouraging interactions between science and art. This year, the partnership involved support and collaboration from LUMA Arles.
The week-long programme consists of various talks, workshops, visits and performances lead by artists and scientists alike, creating ample opportunities to engage and form cross-disciplinary connections. It provided a unique backdrop to challenge the boundaries between arts and science, and to learn about how their union can inform approaches to modern challenges.
