ICB CDT MRes Students took part in the annual MRes Symposium on 7th September 2023.

Students from the MRes in Chemical Biology and Bio-Entrepreneurship and the MRes in Biological and Physical Chemistry gave a series of outstanding and incredibly interesting talks to their peers and supervisors from the ICB and wider Imperial departments. Well done to all who presented and thanks to all who showed their support for the students by attending the presentations.

Huge congratulations are extended to Anna Kukushkina who received the ‘MRes Chemical Biology & Biological Physical Chemistry Symposium’ First Prize for her presentation entitled “The Development of the Nanoluciferase-Proximity Labelling (NLProx) Platform for Investigating Intractable Targets” and to Runner-up Prize winners Amy McIntosh for her presentation entitled “The development of ligand-directed proximity labelling probes to study RNA-protein interactions” and Isaac Biney for his presentation entitled “Generating a robust platform for the testing of carbonic anhydrase mimetics in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.”

ICB CDT students, joined by students from CDT REACT, were then able to enjoy themselves at the annual ICB CDT Summer Party held in the MSRH. This was a great opportunity for the students to network with supervisors and CDT staff and gave all involved a well-deserved opportunity to wind down after a busy day of presentations and to bring in the end of the Academic Year.
