Members of the Institute of Chemical Biology, including students from the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Chemical Biology – Innovation for the Life Sciences (ICB CDT) and Leverhulme DTP in Cellular Bionics came together on Friday 8th December 2023 for a hugely successful symposium on Nucleic Acids.

Organised and hosted by Professor Ramon Vilar and Dr Marco Di Antonio, with the Institute of Chemical Biology and it’s EPSRC funded CDT, the symposium was held at White City Campus in the Molecular Sciences Research Hub.

Speakers at the symposium included Prof Stephen Neidle (University College London), Prof David Lilley FRS (University of Dundee), Prof Claudia Höbartner (University of Göttingen), Dr Jay Schneekloth (National Cancer Institute (NCI), Maryland), Dr Yiliang Ding (John Innes Centre) and Dr Micheal Booth (University College London). Students from the ICB CDT also gave presentations to showcase their exciting research in the dynamic field of Nucleic Acid Science.

The symposium proved to be an enriching forum, fostering collaboration and advancing our collective understanding of this captivating field.

The ICB looks forward to the next exciting symposium!
