Here at the Careers Service, we’re so excited for everything coming up in the Summer Term that we just HAVE to share it with you!

Careers Fairs

 There are two Careers Fairs taking place in the Summer Term:

• The PhD Careers Fair will take place on Tuesday 6 June from 17.00 to 19.30 at the Queen’s Tower Rooms
• The Summer Recruitment Fair will take place on Thursday 11 June from 17.00 to 19.30 at the Queen’s Tower Rooms

Employer Events

Looking to work in a certain field? Interested in a particular company? Or just curious to see what’s out there? Then you’ll want to keep an eye on upcoming employer events!

Next week alone there’s:

• Monday 22 April IT’s not just for the boys (online) 10.00 – 16.00
• Tuesday 23 April HSBC Insights into Asia – Wealth and Personal Banking early careers in Hong Kong and China (online) 12.00 – 12.45
• Thursday 25 April Goldman Sachs FICC & Equities Structuring – Women Insight Event (company’s own premises) 10.00 – 13.00

Careers Events

The Careers Service organises talks, workshops and sessions to help you develop those crucial job-seeking skills and figure out your next steps.

 Taking place next week are: 

• Tuesday 23 April Career Essentials – Postgraduate Study (online) 12.00 – 13.00
• Wednesday 24 April Career Essentials – LinkedIn (online) 13.30 – 14.30
• Wednesday 24 April Career Essentials – CVs and Cover Letters (online) 15.00 – 16.00
• Thursday 25 April Career Essentials – Interviews (online) 13.00 – 13.50

Other Services Available

• MyCVs – upload your CV to JobsLive to get feedback from one of our Careers Consultants
• 25-minute Careers Discussion – book an online or in-person appointment with one of our Careers Consultants from 7 am the working day before via JobsLive to discuss any aspect of your career, including your CV and cover letter
• 40-minute Careers Consultation (by referral only) – book an online appointment with a Careers Consultant who works closely with your department and is trained to help with every aspect of career planning from 7 am up to three weeks in advance via JobsLive
• Mock Interview – book an online mock interview with a Careers Consultant to help prepare for an upcoming interview by emailing the Careers Service at careers@imperial.ac.uk
