ICB CDT MRes Students took part in the annual MRes Symposium on 5th September 2024.
Students from the MRes in Chemical Biology and Bio-Entrepreneurship and the MRes in Biological and Physical Chemistry presented at this year’s MRes conference, and provided a series of extremely interesting and high calibre talks to their peers and supervisors from the ICB and wider Imperial departments. Well done to all who presented and a big thank you to all who showed their support to the students by attending the presentations.
Huge congratulations are extended to Bradley Diggines who received First Prize for his presentation entitled “A microfluidic toolkit for drug delivery particle discovery” and to Runner-up Prize winners Daisy Williams for her presentation entitled “Directed evolution of the sortase an enzyme for the development of a universal ubiquitin profiling platform” and Luke Parry for his presentation entitled “Developing novel label-free technologies for studying drug molecules and their ability to induce protein complex formation in cells.”
ICB CDT students were then able to enjoy themselves at the annual ICB CDT Summer Party held in the MSRH. This was a great opportunity for the students to network with supervisors and CDT staff and gave all involved a well-deserved opportunity to wind down after a busy day of presentations and to bring in the end of the Academic Year.
