The Careers Service will be taking a short break over the Christmas vacation, observing Imperial’s closure days from Monday 23 December – Wednesday 1 January (inclusive). But fear not, we are not leaving you empty-handed.

As you may already know, there is a wealth of information available to you through the Careers Service website.
Head to our Plan your career section for advice on exploring your options, starting a business and considering further study. If you’re unsure about what direction you’d like to take with your degree, why not explore our What do Imperial graduates do? and What can I do with my degree? webpages for inspiration.
Our Jobs and experience webpages are a great place to start when looking for industrial placements, work experience, volunteering and jobs. You can also read more about our exclusive opportunities: the Professional Project Fund, Work Shadowing and the SME & White City Internship Schemes.

Through the Careers Service you have access to a variety of online resources to support you on your professional journey.
- Student Circus is a job search portal for international students in the UK
- GoinGlobal is a huge collection of country-specific careers information
- Shortlist.Me is a platform on which you can practice video interviews
- LinkedIn Learning is an online library that helps you learn software tools and skills through instructional videos taught by industry experts
- Career Snapshots is a playlist of videos created by us, offering bite-sized careers advice
- The Careers Video Library is a database of video and audio recordings of events hosted by the Careers Service
Online publications
We would be remiss if we didn’t remind you of our wonderful CVs, Cover Letters and Personal Statements guide. This booklet has been produced to show a range of different application documents devised to cover a number of scenarios.
You can also access all of our external publications online. These include:
- The Inside Careers guides to chartered patent attorneys, chartered accountancy, the actuarial profession, the insurance profession and the pensions profession;
