Thursday 20 March saw a very successful writing panel event held at CLCC.

The Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication hosted a lively and well-attended panel event, entitled 'The Writing Business' and aimed both at students and wider Imperial staff.

The discussion, moderated by Gita Ralleigh, was wide-ranging with perspectives from Lecturer in Creative Writing, Aifric Campbell (The Love Makers) as well as Horizons alumna and Imperial PhD graduate Anita Chandran, now  a science writer at Nature and editor of Tamarind literary magazine

Our guests included debut YA novelist Jess Popplewell (The Dark Within Us) who teaches on the Horizons Professional Skills for Employability module, and literary agent and writer Catherine Cho (Inferno: A Memoir of Motherhood and Madness) who also shares an Imperial connection through her husband, a Senior Lecturer in bioengineering.
