Dr Michael Templeton co-hosted a one-day workshop

Dr Michael Templeton co-hosted a one-day workshop entitled "Cryptosporidium Control in Drinking Water with UV Disinfection: Status, Experience, Developments and Outlook" on 15 September. The workshop was co-sponsored by the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) and Water Research Centre (WRc). The programme featured expert speakers from the UK, USA, Austria, Germany, and Ireland and there were 80 international attendees and exhibitors.

A paper based on the 2007 MSc dissertation of Ms Marina Antonakaki has been accepted for publication in the journal Environmental Engineering Science. The paper is entitled "UV Dose-Response of Acinetobacter baumannii in Water" and the co-authors are Dr Michael Templeton and Dr Michael Rogers. 

Dr Zhuo Chen will present a paper entitled "NDMA and Other Nitrosamines in UK Drinking Water ", co-authored with Dr Michael Templeton, at the 2nd European Water and Wastewater Management Conference in Birmingham on 30 September.

Dr Michael Templeton has been named as the Chair of the Water Supply and Quality Panel of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
