Mrs Alison J. Deane née Moon (Wye College 1984)

Provided by Mr Nicholas Deane

Alison and I met at Wye College in 1981 and married in 1989. After College she used her degree in Plant Science to work in field trials for ICI and Stamffer Chemical . After getting married and moving to Norfolk she became a devoted mother to Clare (now 16), Matthew (now 14), and Edward (now 11). She never lost her love of plants and tended over a wonderful garden. She was an excellent cook and took great pride in her home. She spent many winter hours making patchwork cushions, tapestries and curtains for the house.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 and after intensive chemotherapy, fought the disease for a further five years. She never complained and will be with us in her garden, her home and our hearts forever.
