Be a London Ambassador

Provide an outstanding visitor welcome to visitors to London at Games-time

The role of the 8,000 London Ambassadors is to provide an outstanding visitor welcome to visitors to London at Games-time. The volunteers will be based at 35 sites around London from 20 July to 10 September 2012. These sites will include visitor hot spots, travel hubs, city live sites, and sites near the Games venues.

All London Ambassadors will need to commit to volunteer for a minimum of six consecutive days, with each day's shift lasting five hours. Full training will be provided prior to deployment. London Ambassadors will need excellent interpersonal skills and a passion/enthusiasm for London. Applicants must be 16 years old by 1 January 2012. All volunteers will receive a uniform to wear while they volunteer, which they can keep afterwards; a food and drink voucher for each shift; free travel in zones 1-6 for the time they are volunteering.

Registration is online at www.londonambassadors.org.uk by 31 December 2010.
