Journal of Physics: new special issue on nanopore sensing
Dr Joshua Edel and Dr Tim Albrecht from the Department of Chemistry have recently guest edited a special issue of the Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter
Dr Joshua Edel and Dr Tim Albrecht from the Department of Chemistry along with Professor Mathias Winterhalter from the Jacobs University Bremen have recently guest edited a special issue of the Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter. The topic of this special issue relates to new developments in nanopore research and covers both fundamental concepts and applications.
Biological and solid-state nanopores are an exciting field of research, which has seen a rapid development over the last 10 to 20 years. Activities in this area range from theoretical and experimental work on the underlying fundamental (bio) physics to applications in single-molecule biosensing. Currently there are more than 100 research groups worldwide with activities in this area of which 34 have contributed to this special issue.
