Andrew Connell is a graduate Mathematics with Statistics student who specialises in computational statistics, changepoint detection and wavelet analysis. He completed an MSc in Statistics (Theory and Methods) at Imperial College London and is currently undertaking a PhD in Statistics under the supervision of Professor Emma McCoy and Dr. Ed Cohen. His current research interest is Wavelet methods and their applications to Point Processes. Specifically, a special case of point processes: Self and Mutually Exciting Point Processes (also known as Hawkes Processes).
