BIO

Daniele Benetti is a UKRI Fellow in the Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on advancing solar fuel technologies through the development of nanomaterials and their spectroelectrochemical investigation, with the main goal of enhancing the efficiency and stability of low-cost, metal-oxide-based solar fuel devices. Daniele holds a BSc and MSc degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Brescia, Italy. He completed his PhD in 2020 at INRS, Montreal, under the supervision of Professor Federico Rosei, where he specialized in nanomaterials for solar energy devices. In December 2022, he joined Imperial College London as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow to conduct his postdoctoral research with Professor James Durrant in the Department of Chemistry.
