Giada Baldessarelli is an Assistant Professor at the House of Innovation of the Stockholm School of Economics and an affiliated researcher at the Imperial College Design Studio. Prior to that, she was a British Academy Fellow at the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship at Imperial College Business School. Her research interests include the systematic development of creative outcomes in collaborative projects spanning organizational boundaries. Specifically, she explores the role of artifacts and aesthetics during interactions in creative collaborations. In 2021 Giada has been awarded a 3-year research fellowship from the British Academy. Her project is entitled: "Sensing together: Embodiment and collective work in creative projects." Prior to joining Imperial College, Giada was a postdoctoral researcher at Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden). Before that, she received her PhD in Management from the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland). Her dissertation, supervised by Prof. CL Tucci, was entitled “Routines and practices in cross-boundary creative projects.” During her doctorate, Giada spent 10 months as a visiting researcher at Stanford University – Center for Design Research and the d.school.
