BIO

Mohammed Azzouzi is a research fellow in the chemistry department at Imperial College London. His current work focuses on developing AI-based approaches to discover new organic molecules for tailored optoelectronic applications. During his Ph.D., supervised by Professor Jenny Nelson, he investigated the impact of interfacial states in organic solar cells on device performance and was awarded the 2021 Woodruff thesis prize. Additionally, Mohammed has developed tools that enhance our understanding of the connections between atomistic-scale properties of organic semiconductors and their relevance to optoelectronic devices. His research integrates molecular modeling, computational simulations, and experimental characterizations to uncover intricate relationships between atomic arrangements, electronic structures, and material properties, contributing to the optimization of optoelectronic technologies.
