AB - We report a hybrid L-band amplifier employing phosphosilicate and high-aluminosilicate EDFs with 20.2±3.7dB gain and 4.2dB average NF from 1575-1615nm. The temperature-dependent-gain coefficient remains almost constant from 1585-1615nm over the temperature range -60 to +80°C.
