AB - Amplified transmission of WDM channels over the O- and C-bands is demonstrated using a bismuth-doped fibre amplifier. The transmission medium is an ultra-wide bandwidth nested antiresonant fibre (NANF) offering uniform loss performance across all wavelengths of interest. Comparable performance is obtained across the two bands.
