Authors affiliated with Imperial College London receive a 20% discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs) when publishing with MDPI. This discount is applied automatically at the point of submission.
If you would like the remaining APC balance to be covered by UKRI, Wellcome Trust, CRUK, BHF, or the Imperial Open Access Fund, please submit a funding request via Symplectic in the usual way.
DOAJ requirements
The Wellcome Trust and the Imperial Open Access Fund require that the journal be indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) for APCs to be eligible.
Please note:
- Some MDPI journals are not currently listed in DOAJ, and several have been withdrawn.
- If your chosen journal is not indexed, or if you are unsure about its DOAJ status, please contact the open access team before submitting your article or initiating a funding application.
